This position involves working across a diverse range of regulatory compliance, transactional support, and environmental litigation matters. Duties:

  • Provide legal support on federal and state environmental regulatory matters

  • Advise on environmental issues in connection with business transactions, including due diligence and compliance

  • Represent clients in administrative and judicial proceedings related to environmental laws

  • Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and agency guidance to offer strategic legal advice

  • Draft and review memoranda, briefs, contracts, and correspondence

  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions, permits, and licensing applications

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve environmental issues

  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts

Requirements:

  • 2 to 6 years of substantive legal experience in environmental regulatory, transactional, or litigation matters

  • Demonstrated interest and proficiency in environmental law practice

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex legal matters

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar or eligible for admission

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills

  • In-depth knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act)

  • Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail

  • Capable of managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in legal research platforms and document management tools
