Mid-Level or Senior Associate/Counsel

Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Litigation Attorney to join its New York office. The successful candidate will focus on defending complex product liability cases (such as environmental, asbestos, and talc claims) and handling commercial disputes involving policyholders, brokers, and insurers across domestic and international markets.

Location

Duties

• Handle depositions, hearings, and mediations

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs

• Prepare correspondence to clients and colleagues

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and other research tools

• Draft and respond to interrogatories and document demands

• Review document collections in preparation for litigation

• Submit court filings and manage case docketing

• Participate actively in trial preparation and trial proceedings

Requirements

• 5+ years of active litigation experience preferred

• Strong background in complex product liability matters and commercial litigation

• Asbestos/toxic tort litigation experience preferred

• Trial and courtroom experience, including motion practice, required

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects independently

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in both New York and New Jersey (required)
