Job Overview:
A well-established family law firm based in the South Bay region of Los Angeles is seeking a full-time Senior Associate Attorney to join its El Segundo office. This position is ideal for an experienced family law practitioner with at least five years of hands-on litigation experience who is looking to make a long-term commitment to the practice and pursue future partnership opportunities. The firm represents high-net-worth and prominent clients and seeks a capable, career-minded attorney who can manage their own caseload while contributing to a close-knit legal team.

Location:

  • El Segundo, California

Duties:

  • Draft and file Requests for Order (RFO) and Preliminary Declarations of Disclosure

  • Handle discovery including issuing, responding, and reviewing

  • Make court appearances for hearings and trials

  • Prepare for and conduct basic family law trials and RFO hearings

  • Manage assigned caseload independently with limited supervision

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and status

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex family law matters

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of family law litigation experience

  • Ability to independently manage court filings, client communications, and court appearances

  • Strong understanding of California Family Law procedures and rules

  • Commitment to building a long-term career and growing within the firm

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

  • Capable of working under pressure and managing deadlines

  • Motivated, self-directed, and professional demeanor

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a legal team and independently manage tasks
