  • Interpret and assess contracts and provider manuals outlining payer-provider relationships.

  • Analyze reimbursement clauses, assignment provisions, and necessity definitions within plan summaries.

  • Review and classify claim denials and underpayments, including those based on medical necessity or procedural downgrades.

  • Work with administrative documentation to identify appeal rights and account resolution history.

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to audit claim datasets—sort, apply pivot tables, and execute VLOOKUP functions.

  • Exposure to statistical sampling and extrapolation methodologies is advantageous but not required.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, ideally focused on healthcare, payor-provider, or insurance-related disputes.

  • Proven ability to independently manage case components and contribute to team strategy.

  • Strong drafting, advocacy, and communication skills with attention to detail in complex legal documentation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
