Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with a strong foundation in immigration law to support a dynamic legal team. The role requires the ability to independently manage client matters, provide strategic legal insight, and maintain high standards of communication and case management in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Deliver legal guidance and updates to clients, handling routine matters independently

  • Attend and contribute to client consultations and in-person proceedings

  • Develop strategic approaches tailored to each case

  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of case documentation

  • Draft complex legal responses, including RFE replies and matters involving intricate facts

  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, ensuring timely and professional communication

  • Lead or participate in internal team meetings regarding case progress

  • Provide direction and clarity on case questions posed by support staff

  • Review and approve final submissions and legal documentation

  • Keep client files meticulously organized and compliant with legal standards

  • Stay current with changes in immigration law and administrative procedures

  • Participate in ongoing legal education and training initiatives

  • Represent the firm at industry events or client engagements, as needed

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with relevant immigration case types, including NIV and PERM, is highly desirable

  • Capable of resolving standard legal matters independently while recognizing when to escalate complex issues

  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing deadlines effectively

  • Strong sensitivity to individual client needs and professional expectations

  • Demonstrated knowledge of evolving legal trends and agency protocols

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or foreign equivalent

Certifications:

  • Admission to a U.S. State Bar in good standing

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal

  • Organized with sharp attention to detail

  • Capable of handling multiple responsibilities concurrently

  • Self-motivated and collaborative

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to adapt to specialized legal software

  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
