Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Palo Alto, CA, is actively seeking a Business Immigration Associate Attorney to support corporate and individual clients, particularly within the technology, biotech, fintech, and related sectors. This position, offered through a recruiting partner, involves managing a diverse caseload of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions while delivering high-quality legal guidance in a remote setting. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and client-centered communication skills to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Handle a range of employment-based immigration cases including O-1, H-1B, L-1, E-2, EB-1, PERM, and NIW petitions

  • Advise clients on immigration options, strategies, compliance issues, and documentation requirements

  • Draft, review, and finalize petition packages, legal correspondence, and supporting documentation

  • Communicate regularly with clients to collect documents, provide updates, and answer questions

  • Conduct initial consultations and ongoing case meetings with clients

  • Coordinate with paralegals and legal support staff to ensure timely and accurate filings

  • Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and draft appeals or agency correspondence as needed

  • Monitor evolving immigration regulations, trends, and policy developments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in business immigration law

  • Proficiency with employment-based petitions, including O-1, EB-1, NIW, and PERM

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Technologically proficient, with familiarity in case management software (INSZoom strongly preferred)

  • Client-centric approach and strong interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working in a fully remote and fast-paced legal environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state or jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Legal writing and analytical reasoning

  • Immigration case assessment and strategic planning

  • Document drafting and legal research

  • Efficient digital communication and virtual client management

  • Time and case management in high-volume legal environments
