Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Junior Antitrust Associate to join its Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in antitrust law, either from a law firm, government agency, or corporate legal department. The role offers the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals on high-profile matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), state attorneys general, and international competition authorities. Candidates will be involved in merger reviews, investigations, and litigation across a range of industries, including AI, agriculture, banking, healthcare, and more.

Duties:

  • Assist in merger investigations and reviews before U.S. and international antitrust regulators
  • Support litigation efforts in antitrust-related cases
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on high-profile matters involving a variety of industries
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through direct contact and participation in case management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
  • Provide legal research, drafting, and strategic advice on antitrust issues
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including mentorship opportunities

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in antitrust law, either in a law firm, government, or corporate legal environment
  • Strong understanding of antitrust law and merger review processes
  • Experience or interest in working with high-profile cases across multiple industries
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the state of Washington, D.C. (or eligibility to be admitted)
