Job Overview:
A law firm located in Aliso Viejo, CA, is seeking a highly motivated Transactional Attorney with a focus on real estate and business law. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of experience handling transactional matters, ideally with exposure to homeowners association (HOA) law. This position is available on a hybrid basis, offering flexibility while engaging in sophisticated legal work in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate a variety of business and real estate contracts

• Provide legal counsel on transactional matters involving commercial and residential real estate

• Support clients with corporate formation, governance, and regulatory compliance

• Conduct legal research and prepare formal memoranda and opinion letters

• Engage with clients to deliver legal solutions aligned with business objectives

• Maintain accurate records and case management using legal technology platforms

• Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases, leveraging a team-based approach

• Participate in firm-wide meetings and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal experience in transactional work (real estate or business law)

• Strong contract drafting and legal analysis skills

• Familiarity with laws affecting HOAs is highly preferred

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Professional demeanor with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting

• Competence with Adobe Acrobat, including PDF editing features

• Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio Manage experience a plus)

• Strong research capabilities using legal databases and resources

• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and exercise sound legal judgment
