Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Huntington, NY, with a longstanding presence in litigation, is seeking an accomplished Senior Litigation Attorney to join its trial-focused team. This firm, known for its representation in insurance defense, labor law, construction disputes, and personal injury claims, is expanding its litigation department and looking for skilled attorneys ready to take ownership of cases from initiation through resolution.

Duties:

• Lead the management of complex litigation matters through all phases, from case intake to verdict or settlement

• Draft high-level pleadings, motions, and supporting memoranda

• Conduct and defend depositions, manage document production, and oversee all discovery processes

• Provide legal analysis, prepare research memos, and deliver strategic litigation plans

• Appear in court for hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations

• Offer client-focused legal advice and litigation strategies across multiple practice areas, including:

  • Labor law (New York-specific)

  • Premises liability defense

  • Construction defect litigation

  • General liability claims

  • Insurance coverage disputes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience, with a concentration in insurance defense, labor law, construction law, or personal injury

• Current license to practice law in New York State

• Additional bar admissions in New Jersey and/or Connecticut are considered advantageous

• Prior litigation experience in New York State courts; familiarity with Federal court procedures preferred

• Demonstrated track record of managing full litigation caseloads independently and effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing member of the New York State Bar

• Admission to NJ and/or CT Bar is a plus.
