Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draft necessary legal documentation

  • Represent clients in pretrial hearings and provide post-hearing counsel

  • Manage all aspects of criminal proceedings, including trials, motions, and plea negotiations

  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and analyze case law and precedents

  • Prepare clients for depositions and court testimony

  • Strategize and gather information from expert witnesses and other key sources

  • Provide comprehensive legal analysis and recommend appropriate strategies

  • Accrue and organize supporting evidence for trial or negotiation

  • Maintain responsibility for managing a full caseload independently

Requirements:

  • Proven experience handling complex criminal cases across federal, state, and local courts

  • Demonstrated success in criminal litigation, including trial preparation and execution

  • Strong collaboration and mentoring skills for working with legal support staff and associates

  • Dedication to high-level client service and ethical legal practice

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California

  • Member in good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and research skills

  • Strong interpersonal and client advocacy abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
