Location:

• Fresno, California

Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and draft necessary legal documentation

• Represent clients in pretrial hearings and provide strategic legal counsel

• Conduct legal research and draft motions and briefs

• Interview witnesses and prepare clients for court and depositions

• Evaluate probable outcomes using case law and legal precedents

• Accumulate and organize evidence to build strong defense strategies

• Manage an active caseload under supervision and collaborate with legal team members

Requirements:

• Demonstrated commitment to criminal defense through clinics, internships, or volunteer work

• Strong interest in courtroom litigation and client advocacy

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active admission to the State Bar of California, or recent graduate awaiting bar results

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities

• Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber for effective client relations

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required

• Familiarity with case management software is a plus
