This team provides litigation defense, breach response services, and regulatory guidance on cyber and data privacy matters. The role involves working with a global network of legal professionals and handling complex cases in a rapidly evolving field.

Location

  • Fort Lauderdale, FL

Duties

  • Develop and execute litigation strategies for cyber and data privacy cases

  • Engage in client communications and liaise with opposing counsel

  • Draft legal documents, including reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions

  • Conduct depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and trials

  • Provide counsel on cyber incident response, crisis management, and regulatory compliance

  • Assist clients with regulatory investigations following data breaches and privacy violations

  • Collaborate with legal professionals across international jurisdictions on cyber-related matters

Requirements

  • Litigation attorneys: 3-6 years of experience in cyber and data privacy law

  • Incident response attorneys: 2-4 years of experience in cyber incident response and regulatory investigations

  • Experience in insurance-related legal matters preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Certifications

  • CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) preferred but not required

  • Additional cybersecurity or data privacy certifications are a plus

Skills

  • Strong litigation and negotiation abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and respond to cyber incidents effectively

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
